Eastern Quarries

AQUADALE QUARRY:    A shale quarry that produces various washed and dry-screened crushed stone sizes. The primary customer, located on the site, is an expanded light-weight aggregate producer.

LAKE NORMAN QUARRY:   A granite quarry that produces a full array of crushed stone products including various washed stone sizes, several rip-rap sizes, aggregate base course (ABC) and manufactured sand. All products are made to meet NCDOT specifications. Located on Hwy 16 just south of Hwy 73 in Lincoln County.

PIEDMONT SAND COMPANY:   A sand mine that produces various washed and dry-screened sand products. The primary products are NC2-S/C-33 Concrete Sand, asphalt sand, three types of mortar sand and various golf/turfgrass sand products. Located in Pageland, SC.

B V HEDRICK GRAVEL & SAND COMPANY:   A unique quartzite deposit that is mined and then processed to produce various specialty gravel and sand products. These products are furnished to various users including the metallurgical industry, concrete/concrete products producers, golf courses, decorative landscaping, aquarium gravel suppliers, roofing contractors, and to others for various applications. The deposit is distinct because of its color and the high purity of its silica content.

Western Quarries

GREEN RIVER QUARRY:  A small granite quarry that produces dry-screened crushed stone products. Located off Hwy 25 in Henderson County, NC

SOUTH MCDOWELL QUARRY:   A small granite quarry that produces various washed and dry-screened sizes of stone. Located in McDowell County just south of Marion, NC

GROVE STONE & SAND COMPANY:  A granite quarry that produces an array of crushed stone products that are sold to concrete & asphalt producers, highway & building contractors and homeowners for various construction needs. Located in Swannanoa, NC.

NORTH BUNCOMBE:    A granite quarry that produces an array of crushed stone products that are sold to concrete & asphalt producers, highway & building contractors and homeowners for various construction needs. Located in north Buncombe County, NC.
